New Executive Leadership Team Meets the Demands of a Dynamic Spinal Device Market
ChoiceSpine LP, a privately-held spinal device manufacturer based in Knoxville, TN, today announced changes to strengthen its executive leadership team and continue driving the company’s industry-leading product portfolio and financial growth.
The two leadership changes are:
- Stephen Ainsworth, PhD. promoted to Executive Vice President, Strategy and Technology;
- and Kurt Kessler hired as the Vice President, Sales.
Stephen Ainsworth’s promotion comes after 3 years in his role as the company’s Vice President of Research & Development responsible for Product Development as well as Regulatory for ChoiceSpine. Steve has a Masters and PhD in Bioengineering and 23 years of experience in medical device development.
“Steve brings the knowledge of the industry from both a technical and strategic background from his many years in implantable medical devices. He has demonstrated that his organizational and planning skills and relationship network of leading surgeons fit well with our future growth plans,” said Rick Henson and Marty Altshuler, co-founders of ChoiceSpine.
Kurt Kessler was recently hired as ChoiceSpine’s Vice President of Sales. “Kurt has over 20 successful years in spinal sales management and checked the box for us in more ways then expected. His work ethic, personality, enthusiasm, knowledge of the industry and communication skills fit well with the ChoiceSpine culture,” exclaimed Rick and Marty.
ChoiceSpine is now well positioned to benefit from the dynamic and fast-growing spinal device market. These leadership changes align with the company’s long-term strategic focus and expectations of industry-leading profitable growth.
